Group training for the Cape Town Marathon…

The Cape Town Marathon is a fantastic world class marathon right on our doorstep of the Atlantic seaboard. Embark has a continuation program from the Knysna marathon. Its a a 9 week program that combines all the necessary training so that you can feel confident going into the marathon.

The training is fun and focused in a coached group environment.


How will the training work:
You will receive a weekly program that includes the group training sessions, and the individual sessions that you are required to do on your own. There will be three to four coached group running sessions per week, and longer runs on the weekend.

The program is broken down into building phases of training. The mileage increases for 3 weeks and then we recover for a week, and then back in to building for 3 weeks until recovery week again. We will keep the training fun but challenging. We will explore Cape Town and all the running it has to offer.

If you are a new or beginner runner, perhaps look at joining an alternative Embark program for your level, but if you are currently running around 20km for your longer run, then you are at the level required to join the CTM program. The Embark program and coached group training will inspire and motivate you to run your best marathon yet!
