Embark Blouberg launches its winter program…

Are you looking at doing your first triathlon? Or looking at improving your current fitness? Our Embark Blouberg branch is launching our new winter coached group training program next week! We have a dedicated beginner’s coach who will be helping all first timers on their journey into triathlon and beyond, as well as our dedicated intermediate coach.

If you would like to come and meet our coaches, and hear about the training and program, please come along on Wed 5th July to Morgan’s Coffee Shop, Shop 2, Marine Promenade, Porterfield Rd & Beach Blvd, Bloubergrand. 6pm for 6h30. We have teamed up with the local Blouberg triathlon club, Club MSM, and will be working closely with them to continue to build the triathlon community in the area.

What’s our goal: On the 24th of September, the MiWay Cape Ultra Triathlon is happening. There is both a sprint race (500m swim, 20km bike, 5km run) and an ultra-distance (1.9km swim, 90km bike, 21km run). Embark is running a coached group program in Blouberg for both of these races, so whether you are a novice triathlete or a newbie, we have a program to suit your level.

At the launch we will go through everything required from getting started, to equipment, to the training and the race.

We train as a group 3 times a week, and follow a prescribed program for the rest of the individual sessions. If you cant make the launch, then get in contact with us so we can let you know the specific days and venues.

The program costs R699/m. You will learn about swim, bike and run and of course combining them all together for triathlon. You will gain confidence and structure in your training, and become fitter, faster and healthier than ever. The groups are fun and social. As the winter sets in, the group training becomes a great motivator. It’s much easier to make training when you have others to meet and train with.

So set yourself this goal for winter and come and join us in the quest for the MiWay Ultra or sprint medal.
