IRONMAN 70.3 Buffalo City done and dusted…

So our 6 month IRONMAN 70.3 Buffalo City journey has come to an end! And what a 6 months it has been. Besides the medal of one of the hardest 70.3 courses in the world, all the Embark athletes now have new found confidence in themselves, being able to set new bigger goals and tackle the, what they thought would be impossible, events!

Through learning about triathlon in a group environment, the athletes forger new friendships, and become part of the triathlon community which could be seen all over East London. Our #rednblackarmy registered, went to race briefing and swam and biked parts of the course, in huge groups making the ‘individual’ sport of triathlon look like a festival of friends. Race day was a blur of Embark athletes, all chasing person goals and reasons for doing the event.

After the race, seeing all the athletes in the race village with their medals around their necks, high fiving each other was a memorable and electric scene. If you are interested in doing the sport, don’t delay it, get involved today, it really is life changing and being part of the Embark group is the game changer.
