Embark Triathletes all compete at Warm Water Weekend

This weekend all the Embark triathlete groups competed at the Aca Joe Warm Water Weekend. The beginner triathletes did their first triathlon competing at the Saturday event, which was the staged triathlon. (1km swim, 20km road bike, 5km run). The Embark triathletes training for the ITU WTS triathlon also competed in the staged tri on the Saturday. The Embark Ironman athletes did all three days, Friday being a standard distance tri, Saturday was a 3km/70km/13km, and Sunday being a 3km swim/40kms/10kms.

So it was a great occasion as the beginners finished their first triathlon. The Warm Water Weekend is a 3 day tri festival taking in the beautiful West Coast National Park. Its an event i highly recommend. Every day is very well organised, lunch is supplied and accommodation is within the park, so getting around is quick and easy. Evenings is live music and braai’s with all the families getting together and exchanging war stories.

We wish good luck to the Embark Ironmen for their race in 2 weeks! And congrats to the beginners for completeing their first triathlon! Their next one is the ITU WTS on the 27th April.
