Big Ride/Run Brick for the triathletes…

Our first big brick session today! We did a 3h ride and a 20min run. We started off at the gym in Seapoint and headed towards and through the V&A Waterfront and through town to the start of the cycle paths. The cycle paths are AMAZING!! Traffic free, safe and scenic. We rode in total for 3hours and some of the quicker riders got as far as Melkbos. Once we hit 1h30 we turned around and headed back the same way to the gym. A fast transition into our shoes and straight out onto the promanade for 10mins out and back. I could hear the screams of anguish as the triathletes expereince the feeling of lead in the legs! This get better with practice and conditioning. That said, look out for us next week as we increase the run time and increase the tempo on the bike too! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
