The final ‘training’ session…

Breifing on sea conditions

Breifing on sea conditions

Today was the final training session before we tackle the big race next week. We did our final sea swim preparation, and boy did we have rough conditions to contend with! Buffalo City can throw any rough sea conditions at us now, as what we practiced in today is going to give us great confidence if the sea is rough. The water was 14 degrees so we were able to get a decent session in. We practiced starts, entry and exits, and also catching waves into the shore. At a stage a mass of sea foam came floating across and if felt like we were in the clouds with this cottonwool like substance almost covering our bobbing heads! The sea almost fell silent inside the foam, quite eerie. But it drifted on and we finished the session! We are ready for 70.3!
