Embark triathletes ESCAPE!

Today we headed out to the Branvlie Prison to take part in the Jail Break triathlon. The Embark triathletes did the ‘mini escape’ which is a 1100m swim a 44km ride and a 12km run. It all takes place in and around the prison grounds. It was a tough day out, we had really choppy water because of the wind. Then we had to contend with the wind on the bike. The course was a star shape, so we got battered in all directions by the strong winds. And just when you thought it couldn’t get harder, the heat of the morning drummed down on us for the run!  But we conqured it, and are that much closer to our goal of the Half Ironman 70.3 in less than 6 weeks. Congrats to all the finishers on the day, it was a hard day out there. Results of the Embarkers to be posted asap.
